* The MYB gene family is one of the largest groups of transcription facotrs in plants. MYB genes are classified into four major groups, including 1R-MYB, 2R-MYB, 3R-MYB and 4R-MYB with one, two, three and four MYB repeats, respectively<ref name="ref1" /><ref name="ref2" /><ref name="ref3" /><ref name="ref4" />. Each repeat contains approximately 50–53 amino acids and forms a helix-turn-helix fold with three regularly spaced tryptophan residues<ref name="ref1" /><ref name="ref2" /><ref name="ref4" />. Moreover, each repeat contains regularly spaced tryptophan residues, forming a tryptophan cluster in the 3-dimensional HTH structure<ref name="ref2" /><ref name="ref3" />.
