Heat shock proteins (heat shock protein, Hsp) are a class of resistance protein molecules playing an important role in the process of environmental stress[1][2][3].

hsp82 is one of heat shock proteins , that is required in higher concentrations for growth of cells at higher temperatures.

hsp82 is one of the most highly conserved and abundantly synthesized heat shock proteins of eucaryotic cells[4].

It belongs to hsp82/90 family,including hsp82A,hsp82D,and hsp82B[5].

hsp82/90 family encodes a set of structurally related proteins ranging from 82 to 90 kDa[5].

hsp82 products help contribute to survival at high temperatures.

They have been isolated and characterized from a variety of evolutionarily diverse species, including Escherichia coli, where the equivalent is officially named htpG). Studies of hsp82/90 and their transcripts have shown that plant genes, like their mammalian counterparts, are developmentally regulated in addition to being controlled by temperature.In eukaryotes, HSP82/90 is present in both nucleus and cytoplasm. where it has been found associated with a very heterogeneous collection of proteins. In mammalian cells, HSP82/90 is most often associated with actin and tubulin , several different protein kinase, and with steroid hormone receptors[5].
