The rice Os03g0737200 was reported as OsHOS1 in 2013 ^[1] by researchers from Portugal.

The rice OsHOS1 can encode a functional RING-finger E3 ubiquitin ligase with function in the regulation of cold stress response.
OsHOS1 can physically interact with OsICE1, modulating its abundance and downstream gene expression
Proteasome-mediated degradation analysi of OsICE1 showed that OsHOS1 is part of the proteasomal complex and regulates the level of OsICE1 by targeting it for degradation.
