RiceWiki, a sub-project of ScienceWikis, is a wiki-based system for rice gene annotation. Unlike conventional biological databases based on expert curation, RiceWiki harnesses collective intelligence to collaboratively add, edit, and update information about rice and quantifies users' contributions to encourage more participations from the whole scientific community.
