Please input function information here. Rice P1B-Type Heavy-Metal ATPase, OsHMA9, is a metal efflux protein. OsHMA9 is localized to the plasma membrane, and Cu, Zn, and efflux lead from the cells. The T-DNA insertion mutant alleles of OsHMA9 results demonstrate that OsHMA9 is required for conferring tolerance to high levels of Cu, Zn, and Pb. The mutants also showed some sensitivity to Cd, but not as significant as the other metals. 1.jpg
