expression of an ERDJ3-like gene (Os05g0156500) that also functions with BiP as a co-chaperone to assist nascent protein folding was not different between the wild-type and transgenic seeds. Stt3a (Os04g0675500) and UDP-glucose transporter (Os06g0593100), the products of which are involved in a renewed association with calnexin and calreticulin, and the ERAD-related Derlin gene (Os03g0852200) were up-regulated in BiP1 OEmax and BiP1 KD transgenic seeds. Expression of the cell death marker gene, Hsr203j (Os01g0155000), was induced in both the over-expression and suppression lines.
