Annotated Information

Function

Os02g0121300 is a cyclophilin gene.It encoding OsCYP2 protein,which interact with co-chaperone Suppressor of G2 allele of skp1(OsSGT1) to effect the process of the degradation of auxin-responsive proteins.It is important in rice lateral root initiation. Futhermore, another study shows that OsCYP2 expression can be induced by salt stress and circadian rhythm. And OsCYP2 able to control Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS) level as a modulator through mediate the activities of antioxidant enzymes at translation level.

Expression

By the trial of qPCR,it is found that OsCYP2 expressed in various tissues, and GUS signal appeared in the root`s RAM region and lateral root`s RAM region. GUS signal appeared in the late stages of lateral root initiation, as well as both the crown and root primordia, leaves, vascular lemma(Kang et al. 2013).

OsCYP2 expression induced by salt stress and circadian rhythms.It is able to express in bud, but almost no expression in roots. In addition, OsCYP2 circadian express in Shanyou 10 is earlier than in Liangyoupei 9. Using PEG, heat damage and seedling ABA treatment can induce the OsCYP2 expression in seedling of shangyou 10.However,those treatment inhibit OsCYP2 expression in Liangyoupei 9.(Ruan et al.) 2011).
