(A–C) Responses to NaCl treatment: (A) germination rates: T3 generation seeds were soaked in distilled water for 1 day and then allowed to germinate on sterilewater- saturated filter paper with 100 mM NaCl for 5 days; (B) phenotypes: seeds were allowed to germinate in darkness for 2 days, and then transferred to 1/2 MS medium containing 150 mM NaCl under 28/25 �C (day/night) with a 14-h photoperiod for 12 days; (C) shoot heights of seedlings under normal and 150 mM NaCl conditions.
