A schematic diagram of the OsMT-II-1a gene structure. The relative positions of homologous sequences are labeled with ellipses in the figure. The ellipses shown are not proportional to the sizes of the respective elements. Filled ellipses indicate homologous sequences to stress-responsive elements and empty ellipses represent a TATA box. Striped ellipses indicate putative regulatory sequences which are related with pollen-, embryo- or endosperm-specific gene expression. The OsMT-II-1a gene structure is represented by filled box exons and the lines between the filled boxes correspond to intron.
