Abstract

Trauma to the genitourinary system is relatively common but not always obvious on initial examination of the injured patient. This article reviews injuries to the urethra, bladder, kidneys, ureters, and genitalia. the focus is on a high index of suspicion of injuries in the appropriate setting as well as their definitive diagnosis and emergency management.
