Abstract

All practice owners and managers struggle with the concept of "fair compensation." Many factors enter into determining fair compensation. More managers are placing emphasis on production or contributions to the practice in making compensation decisions. Several incentive or bonus programs are discussed. If the contributions to the business can be measured, these areas may possibly be used for incentive programs. As owners and managers we need to do a better job of explaining and showing to our employees the total cost for staffing the practice.
