Abstract

Four new polyketides including two arthrinic acid derivatives (-), one phenolic derivative () and -3-hydroxy-6-(2-hydroxypropyl)-5-methyl--pyran-2-one () along with one methyl ester of arthrinic acid () were isolated from the culture broth of sp., which was an entophytic fungus of clam worm. Their structures were identified on the basis of HR-ESI-MS and NMR spectral analyses together with advanced Mosher's method. In the assay of inhibiting the prostate cancer PC3 cell line, none of the isolated compounds showed significant cytotoxicity.
