In the first time, the maternal genetic structure of the population of the Yangshao culture was characterized comprehensively using the whole mitochondrial genomes obtained from the Qingtai site. Our study explores the connections between the population of the Yangshao culture and East Asians and provides genetic evidence for further exploration of the Yangshao culture. |
