Relevance Evolution
Data types Whole genome sequencing

Description We analyzed the genomes of several autotrophic and parasitic plants with all degrees of parasitism in the Orobanchaceae. Phylogenomic analysis generated a reliable phylogenetic framework for the Orobanchaceae, and we found that a genome duplication event may be associated with the origin of parasitism and characteristic genomic changes are associated with different parasitic lifestyles.
