Description |
After legume roots encounter rhizobium, rapid changes in gene expression occur in the first few hours that prepare the plants to turn off defense and form a symbiotic relationship with the microbe. This important step of symbiotic perception has yet to be studied at single-cell level in plants. Here, we applied single-nucleus RNA sequencing to characterize roots of Medicago truncatula at 30-min, 6-hour and 24-hour after nod factors (NFs) inoculation. |
