To characterize the immune properties of patients with acute HBV infection, we performed scRNA-seq to study the transcriptomic profiles of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from 4 acute hepatitis B (AHB) patients and 3 healthy donors (HDs) as controls. Single-cell TCR and BCR sequencing was also performed for each subject. One patient had matched liver puncture biopsy specimen, in which the immune cells were isolated and analyzed in parallel. A total of 34, 720 high-quality single cells were ultimately obtained, with an average of 1,340 genes per cell. We obtained 37 cell clusters, each with its unique signature genes and covering diverse cell types and states in the peripheral blood and/or liver tissue. |
