Primary graft dysfunction (PGD) is the leading cause of early morbidity and mortality after lung transplantation. Neutrophils play a critical role in the exacerbated inflammatory process of severe PGD caused by lung ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). Nevertheless, the comprehensive elucidation of neutrophil phenotypic heterogeneity remains predominantly unexplored. we performed single RNA-Seq of neotrophils from matched lung and blood samples obtained from a patient experiencing grade 3 PGD. |
