Title:
The active extra X chromosome drives germ cell aplasia in klinefelter syndrome fetuses
Release date:
2024-07-31
Description:
The primary pathological alteration in Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is germ cell loss. The alterations prior to loss and the molecular events in germ cells remain largely unknown. Through single-cell RNA sequencing of the gonads of KS and normal male fetuses, the phenotypes of KS fetal gonads and the molecular mechanisms were comprehensively investigated.
