Title:
Human corneal cells study
Release date:
2025-04-13
Description:
The human cornea undergoes age-related changes that impact ocular tissue function and susceptibility to disease. We present a high-resolution spatiotemporal transcriptomic and cell type atlas of human corneas obtained from male donors across different age groups. By integrating spatial transcriptomics (scStereo-seq) with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), we reveal age-related variability in gene expression, cellular composition, and spatial organization within major corneal cell types.
