Characterization of A Novel Mengingoencephalomyelitis Associated with Vimentin IgG Autoantibodies in Cerebrospinal Fluid
Release date:
2025-01-22
Description:
In 2021, we observed two women (index patient #1 and patient #2) in our neuroimmune unit of Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University, Beijing, China, diagnosed with uncharacterized encephalitis/encephalomyelitis. Further investigation included cells from CSF of the two patients. Cells were analyzed using single-cell immune repertoire and transcriptome sequencing to identify astrocyte-reactive autoantibodies and targeted antigen. Additional 13 individuals with other autoimmune CNS disorders were included for precise cell clustering, including neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD, n=3), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOGAD, n=4), anti-N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor encephalitis (NMDARE, n=2), multiple sclerosis (n=3), and immune-mediated cerebellar ataxia (n=1).
For each controlled access study, there is a corresponding Data Access Committee(DAC) to determine the access permissions. Access to actual data files is not managed by NGDC.
