Aboveground parts of stems were harvested and cleaned with tap water before being used for DNA extraction. For short-read sequencing, DNA libraries were constructed using a VAHTS Universal Plus DNA Library Prep Kit for MGI (Vazyme, Nanjing, China) following the manufacturer’s instructions, and the libraries were sequenced on an MGI-SEQ 2000 (MGI Tech, Shenzhen, China) to generate 150-bp paired-end data with approximately 100 × coverage. |
