Characteristics
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 319 (LINC00319) (NR_152722), is located on chromosome 21q22.3 and has a transcript length of 2901 nucleotides[1].
Expression
LINC00319 was significantly up-regulated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues compared with normal lung tissues[1].
Reported to be highly expressed in lung cancer[2].
Regulation
Function
Linc00319 promotes cell proliferation and invasion in lung cancer cells by directly binding with and downregulating the tumor suppressor miR-32.[2]
LINC00319 was also shown to regulate the miR-450b-5p targeted gene enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) by functioning as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) for miR-450b-5p in lung adenocarcinoma, thereby inhibiting the expression of EZH2 and promoting lung adenocarcinoma cell proliferation.[1].
Disease
lung cancer [2]
lung adenocarcinoma carcinogenesis [1]
