Annotated Information
Name
LIVAR:liver cell viability associated lncRNA.
lnc18q22.2[1]
Characteristics
The total length of the lnc18q22.2 transcript on chromosome 18 is estimated to be 633 bp.[1]
Cellular Localization
Lnc18q22.2 is mainly present in the cytoplasm.[1]
Function
Lnc18q22.2 is ignificantly association with NASH (Nonalcoholic steatohepatiti)grade , lobular inflammation, and NAS (AFLD activity score). In addition, lnc18q22.2 is also significantly associated with liver steatosis and steatohepatitis(including ASH (alcoholic steatohepatit) and NASH) in 44 independent liver biopsies. The silencing of lnc18q22.2 expression results in reduced growth in HepG2 and IHH cells and promoted cell death in Huh7 and Hep3B cells .[1]
Expression
Lnc18q22.2 is predominantly expressed in liver tissue and in the HCC (hepatocellular carcino)cell line HepG2.[1]
Diseases
Nonalcoholic steatohepatiti[1]
