Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, accompanied by Drs. Atia tul Wahab, visited BIG on September 19. Dr. XUE Yongbiao, director of BIG and Drs. BAO Yiming, XIAO Jingfa took part in the meeting.
Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary and the delegation visited the BIG Data Center (BIGD) and had academic exchanges with BIGD researchers. Then Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary and Dr. XUE discussed the possible collaborations about the life and health data sharing, construction of Joint Center for Genome Research, exchange of scholars and other academic exchanges.
ICCBS is one of premier research establishments in the developing world. Its reputation for scientific research and training extends far beyond the country's borders. Through the cooperation and exchanges between the two sides, the institute will actively respond to the national "one way all the way" strategy and establish a solid cooperative relations with Pakistan.
