Prevalence and landscape of germline mutations in unselected Chinese patients with gastrointestinal cancers
Title | Prevalence and landscape of germline mutations in unselected Chinese patients with gastrointestinal cancers |
---|---|
Description | Tumor-normal sequencing with a multi-gene panel in unselected oncology patients can identify germline findings with potential clinical utility that may be missed by guideline-based genetic testing. Our study aimed to interrogate the prevalence and landscape of germline pathogenic/ likely pathogenic (P/LP) mutations in a large cohort of unselected Chinese patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. In basis of the mutation spectrum of diverse digestive system tumors, we will highlight the clinical implication of germline testing with a multigene panel as for risk assessment, prevention and therapeutic decision-making in patients with GI cancers regardless of family history and histopathological diagnosis. |
