Title Gene regulatory innovations underlying human neocortical diversification
Description To explore the cellular diversity and spatial organization of adult human neocortical areas, we conducted spatial transcriptomie and single-nucleus multiome analysis (snATAC-seq and snRNA-seq from the same cell) on the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC), the primary visual cortex (V1C), the primary motor cortex (M1C), and the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). Joint analysis of snATAC-seq and snRNA-seq further revealed the regulatory mechanisms underlying human neocortical area specification and its evolution.
