| Title | Metabolome data of cecal contents of different SCFAs-infusion goats |
|---|---|
| Description | A total of 24 healthy multiparous goats with an average body weight (BW) of 47.44 ± 3.38 kg at 1.5 years old were selected in this study. All goats were then randomly divided into four groups (n = 6 for each group) after adaption with the diet and light conditions to receive different SCFAs infusion treatments. They were assigned to a normal control group infusion with normal saline (NC), an infusion with sodium acetate solution at 0.8 g/kg BW (SA), an infusion with sodium propionate solution at 0.8 g/kg BW (SP), and an infusion with sodium butyrate solution at 0.5 g/kg BW (SB). The experiment lasts 12 days. The animals were then slaughtered, and cecal contents samples were collected for LC-MS metabolome analysis. |
