1Summary
Title Thalassemia genetic screening based on next generation sequencing in two centers of China
Description Thalassemia is a heterogeneous group of blood disorders affecting the hemoglobin genes and resulting in ineffective erythropoiesis. We retrospectively analyzed data of 28043 Chinese women who particiapted pre-conception and early pregnancy thalassemia screenings based on next generation sequecing in Yunnan province and Chenzhou city, Hunan province. During the screenings, variants in α-globin and β-globin genes were analyzed in each individual.
