1Summary
Title Metabolome of latex during continuous rubber tapping
Description In rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) cultivation, it has been empirically observed by farmers that continuous tapping operations result in a increase in latex yield. Physiological experimental data have demonstrated that following the initial tapping event, latex production exhibits a gradual increase, ultimately stabilizing at a dynamic equilibrium. To unravel the mechanism under this phenomenon, we collected latex samples (T1-T10) from unharvested trees (8 years old) from the first to the tenth tapping, as well as latex samples (TN) from trees that have been tapped for five years (13 years old). Three different latex metabolism groups with different tapping times. Contains 3 biological replicates, each replicate containing at least 5 rubber trees. Our research aims to decipher the genetic code behind the increase in yield during the rubber tapping process, and propose an rubber tapping strategy with sustainability.
