Title Neutrophil and PBMC gene expression in adult-onset Still's disease
Description Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) is believed to be the result of inappropriate proliferation and activation of the mononuclear phagocytic system. As a life-threatening complication of adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD), MAS develops in the context of excessive neutrophil activation and a fulminant cytokine storm. The role of immune cells in driving this hyperinflammation requires further investigation.
