Dendrobium is a traditional and precious Chinese herbal medicine, rich in phenols, polysaccharides, alkaloids, flavonoids, and other bioactive components. Based on the promising application prospects of Dendrobium, this study incorporated Dendrobium officinaleinto the diet of Teddy dogs to examine its impact on nutrient digestibility, immunity, and antioxidant capacity at varying supplementation levels. Additionally, using metabolomics methods, the study compared small molecule changes in the blood of dogs before and after Dendrobium officinale supplementation. This approach allowed for the identification of metabolite differences and analysis of the pathways affected, providing a scientific evaluation of Dendrobium officinale's effects on nutritional metabolism, physiological health, and other aspects of dog health. The findings aim to establish a theoretical foundation for using Dendrobium officinale as a premium and reliable functional food additive in animal nutrition. |
