Title FAT-5/SCD5 mediated lipid localization in lysosomes alleviates gamma-radiation injury in Caenorhabditis elegans
Description This study discovered that Caenorhabditis elegans can withstand high-dose radiation when pre-exposed to low temperatures (4°C) for 4 hours. The metabolites released by C. elegans target guanylyl cyclase GCY-5, which reduces lysosome acidification and enhances lipid translocation via FAT-5/SCD5, mitigating radiation damage.
