| Description | This dataset contains plasma data from PCOS patients and tubal factor infertility controls. Metabolites were extracted using methanol precipitation and analyzed by high-resolution mass spectrometry in both positive and negative ion modes. A total of 921 and 822 ion features were detected in positive and negative modes, respectively, with 37 and 47 metabolites showing significant differences (p < 0.05) between groups. Key differential metabolites included arginine, uric acid, and sphingomyelin. Pathway enrichment indicated alterations mainly in steroid hormone biosynthesis and amino acid metabolism. Combined metabolite analysis yielded an AUC = 0.715 for distinguishing PCOS from controls, suggesting moderate diagnostic potential. |
