Metabolomic profiling of small intestinal contents from chronic fatigue syndrome mice treated with camel milk |

This project presents the raw metabolomics data derived from the small intestinal contents of a murine model of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). The study investigates the therapeutic potential of camel milk (CM) in alleviating CFS symptoms via the microbiota-gut-brain axis. Experimental Design: Chronic fatigue was induced in mice using a combination of chronic restraint stress and forced swimming stress. The mice were then treated with lyophilized camel milk (1500 mg/kg/day) via oral administration. Metabolic Findings: Metabolomic analysis revealed that camel milk treatment significantly modulated the small intestinal metabolic profile. Specifically, CM administration was associated with increased luminal lactic acid levels. Conversely, it significantly decreased the levels of 8-oxo-7,8-dihydrodeoxyguanosine (a marker of oxidative DNA damage) and the pro-inflammatory phorbol ester phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate. |
