Annotated Information

Gene Symbol
- Os11g0592900 <=> BGL11(t)
Function
- BGL11(t) is a novel gene regulating leaf-color mutation in rice
Phenotypic analysis
- The bgl11 mutant exhibited a distinct bright-green leaf phenotype throughout development (Fig. 1). At the maturity, the number of productive panicles per plant and seed setting rate of bgl11 mutant reduced by 8.7 and 9.3 % to its wild-type parent, respectively.
- However, the other major agronomic traits of bgl11 mutant, including the plant height, panicle length, number of spikelets per panicle, and 1,000-grain weight were not affected remarkably compared with its wild-type parent
