| Title |
Circulating Tumor DNA for Molecular Residual Disease Detection in Epithelial Ovarian Cancer |
| Description |
This project investigates the use of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) for the detection of molecular residual disease (MRD) in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) who have undergone primary debulking surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Despite standard treatments, EOC patients often face relapse, highlighting the need for effective post-treatment monitoring. By analyzing ctDNA in plasma samples collected before and after treatment, alongside tumor tissue sequencing, we aim to identify tumor-specific genetic variants that could serve as early warning signs for potential relapse. This approach has the potential to improve post-operative surveillance and contribute to more personalized treatment strategies for EOC patients. |
