| Title | CD8+ TILs in necrotic tumor areas after neoadjuvant immunotherapy predicts recurrence and survival in non-small-cell lung cancer |
|---|---|
| Description | This project aims to identify novel prognostic biomarkers for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who received neoadjuvant immunotherapy. A total of 229 tumor samples were collected from three medical centers, following treatment with PD-1 blockade combined with chemotherapy. The study discovered that CD8+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in necrotic tumor areas (nTILs) are a strong predictor of event-free survival (EFS). CD8+ nTIL density demonstrated superior prognostic value compared to traditional pathological and radiological assessments. This project provides new insights into immune responses after neoadjuvant immunotherapy and offers potential clinical markers to guide treatment decisions in NSCLC. |
