HPC-Atlas Computationally Constructing A Comprehensive Atlas of Human Protein Complexes
Introduction
A comprehensive atlas of human protein complexes can provide an avenue to better understand the core functions in human cells, which were carried out by multiple proteins forming complexes.
We developed a new computational framework to identify protein complexes by expanding and integrating two latest protein interaction networks, which resulted in the identification of nearly 9000 complexes.
Our atlas (HPC-Atlas) provides not only a computational framework for identifying biologically meaningful protein complexes, but also a valuable resource for researchers across a broad range of interests including systems biology, structural biology, and molecular explanations of disease.
