Locus name | AT5G63110 |
Alias | HDA6 |
Organism | Arabidopsis thaliana |
Taxonomic identifier | [NCBI] |
Function category | Hormone response pathway:JA |
Effect for Senescence | promote |
Gene Description | RPD3-like histone deacetylase. HDA6 mutations specifically increase the expression of auxin-responsive transgenes, suggesting a role in transgene silencing.HDA6-RNAi plants displayed increased leaf longevity compared with the wild type. The expression of the senescence-associated genes, SAG12 and SEN4, was down-regulated in HDA6-RNAi plants. In addition,HDA6-RNAi plants displayed late-flowering. |
