ABSTRACT: Clinical supervision is an important element of nursing education. To ensure safe practice, nurse preceptors provide mentorship and facilitate students' learning. One-minute preceptor (OMP) is a training model for preparing preceptors. We used a single-group pretest and posttest study design to evaluate the effectiveness of five OMP microskills in improving the knowledge and skills of preceptors. A significant difference was found in knowledge and teaching skills between pretest and posttest ( p < .001).
