Genomic DNA (gDNA) contamination exists in gene quantification technologies, yet the RNA-seq studies put little attention on it. gDNA contamination would lead to false results, however, the impacts of gDNA contamination for RNA-seq were still unknown. To find out the impacts of gDNA on gene expression in RNA-seq, we designed an RNA-seq experiment adding different concentrations of gDNA to extracted total RNA.
