Pseudotsuga menziesii reference transcriptome and SNP variation

Species:    Pseudotsuga menziesii

BioProject ID:    PRJNA163535     Project ID:    -

Cultivar:    -

Genotype:    Wild Type;Multi-Genotype

Summary:    The goals of this study were to (1) develop and evaluate a transcriptome reference for Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) and (2) identify potential single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the coastal and interior varieties. Douglas-fir is one of the most economically and ecologically important tree species in the world, and has one of the largest tree breeding programs. Ultimately, these genomic resources are expected to be used for enhancing Douglas-fir breeding, understanding landscape patterns of genetic variation, and helping to understand potential responses to climate change.
