Regulation&Interaction
Protein-protein interaction (PPI)
gene-PoalCp050 One of the components of the core complex of photosystem II (PSII), required for its stability and or assembly. PSII is a light-driven water plastoquinone oxidoreductase that uses light energy to abstract electrons from H(2)O, generating O(2) and a proton gradient subsequently used for ATP formation. It consists of a core antenna complex that captures photons, and an electron transfer chain that converts photonic excitation into a charge separation
gene-PoalCp017 Photosystem II reaction center protein Z
gene-PoalCp037 This b-type cytochrome is tightly associated with the reaction center of photosystem II (PSII).

Pathway
KEGG Term Name Description
map01100 Metabolic pathways -
map00195 Photosynthesis Photosynthesis in green plants and specialized bacteria is the process of utilizing light energy to synthesize organic compounds from carbon dioxide and water. It consists of the light dependent part (light reaction) and the light independent part (dark reaction, carbon fixation). The light reaction takes place in thylakoid, a membrane-bound compartment inside chloroplasts and cyanobacteria. The light energy is used by photosystems I and II to generate proton motive force and reducing power (NADPH or NADH). The proton motive force is used by ATP synthase to generate ATP, essentially in the same way as the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The supplies of ATP and NAD(P)H are then used to fix carbon dioxide.
